GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SEMINARS

CONFIRMATION OF THE RESERVATION

The reservation is deemed to be confirmed when the contract is returned to us signed.

CONFIRMATION OF THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

The definitive number of persons must be confirmed in writing at least 48 business hours before the start of the seminar.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation must be made in writing, by email or letter. In the event of cancellation, you will be billed a sum on the total amount of the reservation according to the following scale:

PARTIAL CANCELLATION

A partial cancellation is the cancellation of part of the reserved number. This partial cancellation is accepted free of charge up to 10% of the reserved number, until 48 hours before the beginning of the event or the accommodation rental.

For any cancellation above the aforesaid 10%, the conditions are as follows:

→ Up to 30 days before the beginning of the seminar or the accommodation rental: no charge
→ 29 to 2 days before the beginning of the seminar: 50% of the planned arrangement (above the agreed 10% without charge)
→ 0 to 2 days before the beginning of the seminar: 100% of the planned arrangement

TOTAL CANCELLATION

A total cancellation is the cancellation of the entire event (accommodation or seminar).  In that event, the following conditions apply:

Seminars :
→ Up to 30 days before the beginning of the seminar : no charge
→ 29 to 15 days before the beginning of the seminar: 50% of the planned arrangement
→ 0 to 14 days before the beginning of the seminar: 100% of the planned arrangement

Rooms :
→ More than 9 days in advance: no charge
→ 2 to 9 days: 50% of the room rate
→ 0 to 2 days: 100% of the room rate

Please send Crêt-Bérard a list of the guests and participants who will be staying on the site no later than 72 hours before the beginning of the event.

BILLING

The invoice, payable within 10 days, will be sent to the company or the person who confirmed the reservation.  If the participants must pay for the arrangement, the company that made the reservation will provide its guarantee in the absence of a confirmed participant.  Each participant must pay for his or her extras at the end of the stay.

PRICES AND TERMS OF PAYMENT

Prices: based on confirmations of reservations. Prices are calculated in Swiss francs and include various taxes. They may be modified if the customer subsequently wants to change the rooms booked, the seminar rooms chosen, the services, or the length of stay.

Guarantee: At the time of the reservation, Crêt-Bérard reserves the right to ask for partial or total payment in advance. Crêt-Bérard may also ask for a credit card as a guarantee instead of a deposit.  The customer commits to pay all of the accommodation costs upon departure.

SECURITY

Crêt-Bérard reserves the right to require use of a company to provide any necessary security according to the type of event, at the organizer’s expense.  Our reception office must be advised of any technical equipment provided by the organizer or any services organized thereby.  Such elements must comply with the law and the applicable standards and practices.

DAMAGE AND THEFT

Our establishment disclaims all and any liability for the theft of objects belonging to customers.

The customer (natural person or legal entity) has sole and full liability for any damage or deterioration caused by him or one of his participants.

All costs incurred as a result of repair, replacement or specialized maintenance will be automatically billed to the customer.

Our establishment disclaims all and any liability for the theft or damage to items of clothing or accessories left in an unattended cloakroom or left unattended on the premises.

PARKING / MISCELLANEOUS

We have a large outdoor parking area that is not supervised.  The establishment is not liable for any theft or damage to a vehicle parked thereon.  Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant.

Out-of-doors, dogs must be kept on a leash.

All of our rooms and premises are “non-smoking” areas.

Our property and facilities are not entirely free of risks (parks and gardens, terraces, slopes, stone walls, etc.); therefore, children must be under an adult’s continual supervision and responsibility.

We disclaim all and any liability for any damage or accident.

FOOD RESTRICTIONS

We will adapt to your requests. In the event of a specific diet, allergy or intolerance, please specify it at the time of your reservation or at least 48 hours before the seminar.

APPROVAL AND SIGNATURE

The person who signs a contract certifies that he/she has read our general terms and conditions of sale and accepts them, as well as the booking conditions, either on his/her behalf or on behalf of the company that made the reservation.

JURISDICTION

Vevey is the place of legal jurisdiction.


GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL BOOKING

ARRIVAL AND CHECK-IN

We welcome you at the reception office from 8 :00 a.m. to 12 :15 p.m. and from 1 :30 p.m. to 5 :30 p.m. If you plan to arrive outside of these hours, please contact the reception no later than on the same morning so we can prepare for your arrival.  The entrance doors are closed from 10 :00 p.m. and from 9 :30 p.m. in winter (November through March).  Your room key or digicode will enable you to get in after these hours.  Rooms are accessible from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival.

BREAKFAST AND MEALTIMES

The breakfast buffet is opened between 7 :30 a.m. and 9 :00 a.m.
Lunch is served at 12:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:45 p.m.

RESTAURANT: RESERVE YOUR MEALS

Our restaurant does not offer à la carte meals; our kitchen team prepares a 3-course daily menu (or buffet) on reservation, with a vegetarian alternative for lunch and dinner. Meals are served at the aforesaid hours.

Please let us know in advance if you have intolerance any food or if you are on a special diet.  If you would like to eat upon your arrival, please let us know when you make your reservation, or contact us in advance by telephone or email. Please note that, depending on the number of guests, the kitchen may be closed.  In that event, we will offer you various alternatives.

HOW TO GET TO CRÊT-BÉRARD

If you are coming by car, we have a large free outdoor parking area that is not supervised.   The establishment disclaims all and any liability for any theft or damage to a vehicle parked thereon.

If you arrive by public transportation, you can contact us at least 24 hours in advance so we can arrange for our shuttle bus service between Crêt Bérard and the Puidoux railway station. We will be happy to pick you up between 7:30 a.m. and 12 :00 noon and between 1 :30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.

The transportation costs 3.00 per person. Outside of these hours, our partner, Mr. Pyro from Taxi Chexbres, can be reached at +41 (0)21 961 94 24 or +41 (0)79 368 79 02. Guests of Crêt-Bérard have the benefit of a preferential rate.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A room reservation may be cancelled without charge up to 3 days before the date of arrival. In the event of a cancellation less than 3 days before you arrival, or if there is an interrupted stay, the accommodation will be billed in full.

In the event of early departure due to a situation of force majeure, only the actual stay will be billed.

Reservations of meals that are cancelled on the same day for which they are scheduled will be charged.

In order to avoid any misunderstanding, we ask you to advise us of your cancellation in writing or by email.

Non-cancellable rooms are billed at the rate that was agreed upon at the time of the reservation.

GROUP AND ROOM RESERVATIONS

Group reservations (more than 4 rooms) as well as room reservations are subject to a specific contract.  Please send your requests directly to info@cret-berard.ch.

CRÊT-BÉRARD ACTIVITIES RULES & INFORMATION

Crêt-Bérard offers a variety of activities related to spirituality, Christian faith, culture, renewal and current affairs.  These include retreats, workshops, conferences and other occasional events.  Participation in religious services harmoniously complements these various approaches.

  • Retreats: days or stays that encourage detachment, renewal and reflection.
  • Seminars: workshops, courses and training sessions, either residential or day-long.
  • Events: concerts, shows, exhibitions, conferences, festivals and celebrations, expositions.

REGISTRATION

How to register
You can register via the website, using an online form:
www.cret-berard.ch/activités. The activities are announced up to 5 months in advance. If you do not have the necessary computer tool, you may request a registration form by calling at 021 946 03 60. Some events do not require registration.

Registration deadline
In order to ensure that you have a place and to enable us to prepare for your arrival, we ask you to register as early as possible before the registration deadline.  Thereafter, your participation will depend on the availability of rooms and the number of vacant places.

Confirmation
Any registration is validated by an automatic message and confirmed by a detailed email within a few days. A reminder with the latest information is sent to you 8 days before the start of the activity.

We thank you for treating your registration as a commitment on your part and, if necessary, for informing us as soon as possible of any withdrawal in order to give access to a person on a waiting list.

CANCELLATION FEES

A cancellation less than one week before the activity is accepted without charge if there is an important reason for it: illness, mourning, etc. Otherwise, we bill 20.00 for one day and 50.00 for a longer period.  For training courses, all or part of the deposit may be retained under certain conditions.

YOUR VISIT

By car: free parking is available. Please note that there may be delays on the motorway, especially on Friday night. In winter, the road is clear.

By train : shuttle bus for CHF 3.00 from the Puidoux railway station between 7 :30 a.m. and 12:00 noon and between 1:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. (last departure from Crêt-Bérard). Reservations must be made a day before.  One can walk to the site in about 30 minutes. A map is available.

RATES

The rate for each activity is indicated on our website and in the flyer.

For one-day activities, the all-inclusive rate includes (unless an exception is otherwise specified in the flyer):
– the activities
– the reception, lunch and breaks
– the equipped room

For residential activities, the all-inclusive rate includes (unless an exception is otherwise specified in the flyer):
– the evening meal
– an overnight stay in a private room (WC/shower on the lading)
– the residence tax (3.00 per night per person)

The all-inclusive rates are not reduced to compensate for any meals, or other availabilities, that are not taken.

Our constant desire is to offer activities that are available to as many people as possible. Financial difficulties should not be an obstacle to registration.  In such eventualities, it is always possible to ask for a confidential arrangement.

Members of the Amis de Crêt-Bérard Association who have paid their membership fees for the current year receive a discount.  One can become a member by filling out the form on www.cret-berard.ch or at the reception office.

PAYMENT

Payment is generally made at the reception office before the start of the activity.  We accept cash, cards and TWINT. If there is a large number of participants, it is possible to pay later, but necessarily before the afternoon session starts.  Some activities may require payment of all or part of the price in advance.

ACCOMMODATION

  • The all-inclusive price is for a single room with a WC/shower on the landing.
  • Double room with a private WC/shower: basic rate for each person.
  • Single room with a private WC/shower: additional charge of 20.00 per night.
  • Access to the rooms is guaranteed from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival, and the key must be returned before           9 :30 a.m. on the day of departure.
